On May 17, Ambassador Yang Yang travelled to Linden, the hometown of Guyana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hugh Todd, to attend a youth basketball tournament. Ambassador Yang exchanged warmly with Minister Todd, local officials, community representatives and young athletes. The event featured a lively atmosphere, with youth basketball teams from various communities and schools in Linden competing on the same court.

Following the tournament, Ambassador Yang and Minister Todd jointly presented awards to the winning teams and outstanding players, and distributed prizes to participating athletes. Minister Todd, local officials and community representatives expressed sincere appreciation to the Chinese Embassy for its continued support for local communities and youth sports development.
