On May 12, at the invitation of the Ministry of Education of Guyana, Ambassador Guo Haiyan went to Queen's College to watch the art competition of the 2nd Guyana-China Friendship Youth Leadership Development Competition. The theme of the art competition is celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relationship between China and Guyana. Eight candidates from Georgetown Education District expressed their understanding of the friendship between the two countries and extended their good wishes for the further development of bilateral relations by poems, dance, paintings, drum and karate performances.

Ambassador Guo appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry of Education and schools in organizing the competition, and encouraged the youth of Guyana to make their contributions to the building of One Guyana and the friendship between China and Guyana.
