On March 19, H.E. Ambassador Guo Haiyan met with Hon.Robinson Benn, Minister of Home Affairs of Guyana. Ambassador Guo expressed her shock at the recent case of Chinese nationals being robbed and killed, and requested severe punishment on the murderers in accordance with the law and protective measures for the safety of Chinese nationals and their shops in Guyana. Minister Benn expressed regret for the murder of the Chinese national and condolences to the family of the deceased, saying that Guyana will severely punish the criminals in accordance with the law and will take protective measures for Chinese nationals and their shops.
