On April 28th, Chinese Embassy and Ministry of Education of Guyana jointly held the award ceremony of the 2nd China-Guyana Friendship Youth Leadership Development Competition. Approximately 80 people attended, including H.E. Ambassador Guo Haiyan, Hon. Minister of Education Manickchand, Permanent Secretary of the MoE Mr. King, Director of Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) Dr. Opadeyi, Acting Administrator of the Unit of Allied Arts Mr. Braithwaite and representatives of Regional Education Officers, participating students and their teachers and parents from all over the country, Counselor Chen Xilai hosted the ceremony. 

Ambassador Guo and Minister Manickchand jointly presented awards to 22  contestants from across the country. Teachers and students also enjoyed a variety of performances and cultural experience activities
