On March 30 and 31, with the facilitation of the Embassy, the online JUNCAO Technology Training Course for Guyana, jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development of Guyana, UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the National Engineering Research Center of JUNCAO Technology of FAFU, was successfully held. Chinese Ambassador Guo Haiyan, Hon. Minister Nigel Dharamlall, Mr. Amson Sibanda with UN DESA, and Prof. Lin Zhanxi, Chief Scientist of the Center delivered remarks at the beginning of the training course. Economic and Commercial Counselor Hu Hanming, representatives of Regional Coordinators, local business, agricultural technicians, farmers and youth from all over the country participated. 

Participants said that the training has stimulated their interest in JUNCAO Technology. They benefited a lot from it, and looked forward to more cooperation in the future, so that JUNCAO could take root in Guyana as soon as possible.

Originated in China, the JUNCAO Technology has been promoting development of edible fungus industry by "replacing wood with grass", and has improved the livelihood of many people around the world, especially people in developing countries. It is titled as "Grass of Happiness".
