Visa and Entry Notice for Travelling to China (Updated in March 13, 2023)

To further facilitate people-to-people exchanges between China and foreign countries, following adjustments on the visa and entry policies for foreigners travelling to China will take effect at 0:00am Beijing time on March 15, 2023:

1. Unexpired Visas issued before March 28, 2020 by Chinese visa authorities are now valid for entry into China.

2. Foreigners may apply for any type of visa from the Embassy. For the specific requirements on visa application, please refer to Notice on Visa Application Requirements on the Embassy’s website (http://gy.china-embassy.gov.cn/eng/lsfw/201204/t20120426_4887052.htm).

3. Port visas shall resume to be issued in line with the relevant laws and regulations.

4. The Visa-Free Entry to Hainan,Shanghai 15-Day Visa-Free Travel for Groups,144-hour Visa-Free for foreigners to visit Guangdong from Hong Kong and Macao, and 6-Day Visa-Free Entry to Guilin for ASEAN tour groups shall resume operation.
